Mile 750 (20 August): I don't know when the NV speed limit on US-95 went up to 70 MPH, but it was wonderful.

Mile 1236 (23 August): Check Engine scare at Lakeview. Looks like it was just a gas cap jarred loose by all the gravel roads though.

Mile 1586 (24 August): The highest point of Placer County is a spot near the state line on Mount Baldy, just over 9040' in elevation.
