Chris Chibnall
Jan. 22nd, 2016 02:15 pmI think I am going to take a nice little stroll AFK before I go apeshit on people that think that Chibnall is in any way, shape, or form an improvement on Moffat.
This is not a defense of everything Moffat has done on Doctor Who. But everything Who-related I've seen from Chibnall has ranged from "meh" to "OH GOD CYBERWOMAN".

Newly Discovered Episodes (part 3)
Oct. 10th, 2013 03:47 pmFor the first time since 1968!
114 110 109 108 106 97 missing episodes remain.
Newly Discovered Episodes (part 2)
Oct. 8th, 2013 09:21 amNot quite confirmation yet, but GET HYPED.
(And for those unfamiliar, remember that just four Doctor Who episodes have been recovered in the last twenty years.)

Newly Discovered Episodes
Oct. 6th, 2013 02:07 pmIt's not 106. That's impossible.
But I don't care. This is still fucking exciting.
I am somewhat hesitant to believe rumors about episodes being released digitally right after recovery. That takes time.
However, there have been rumors about a large cache (~90) of episodes floating around for a few months now. I could believe that there's been enough time to digitally restore one or two episodes to at least some level of quality (even if it's not DVD release level).
As always, I don't advise believing anything for 100% sure until it's been officially confirmed. That being said, the Radio Times tends to be the BBC's house organ, as it were, and I'm inclined to believe their reporting. I also have independent confirmation that there is in fact a BBC press conference on Tuesday, so yeah.

Oct. 6th, 2009 10:58 amNew Doctor Who logo for 2010 is out. IMO, a definite improvement on the 2005-09 version, but I'm curious whether they're going to try to stick the entire thing everywhere or separate the left and right parts and use each as appropriate. Personally, I think the second option is preferable.
