Peakbagging tomorrow, SMOFConning tonight

Yesterday: SMOFCon. Come for the bid presentations, stay for getting to chat audiovisually with other fans for the first time in months. (I think I needed it a bit more than normal because the latest local restrictions suggest that I won’t be getting to see Indy the dog for a while.)

Today: Went hiking up in Marin for a few hours because I needed a (COVID-safe) break from my apartment and staring at screens. Big Rock Ridge (1887') is the second highest peak in Marin. Unfortunately the views were a bit disappointing for a P1K, as the true summit is fenced off and directly under a radio tower, and the ridge blocks sightlines to the west. Still, it was good to get out for a bit. Next time it might be fun to go via Luiz Fire Road because apparently the east subpeak has the best views on the ridge. (3:01, 7.4mi, +1641' from Big Rock Pass.)
