Isolation: Fatal or Common?
Jul. 2nd, 2005 01:53 pmWell, I haven't had any non-Internet contact with people that don't live on Cobblestone Drive for a fairly decent period of time. And I think I'm losing my mind; it's just dribbling away into space. (I had a really weird moment last night where I thought a tree was about to crash into my bed like the engine from Donnie Darko).
My question is whether this isolation is just me, or something everybody is experiencing. Especially given a post from Sean from a couple months ago, I have my doubts on whether anybody's experiences are truly unique to them. On the other hand, I seem to be the only 18-year-old in Chester County that doesn't have a summer job (and no, "ADN Council Secretary" doesn't count) and is going to college in California. I just really don't know whether it's just my brain that's starting to dribble, and I have this paranoid fear that everybody else I know in real life is out there somewhere, having a life. It's one of those things that is hard to either confirm or disprove, and most of the Xanga updates I've seen recently are from the friends I have that don't live anywhere near me, and so visiting them is somewhat out of the question.
Ah well, back to doing some random investigations of Malvern officials. I have received communications that give me hope. And I have a couple free movie tickets that resulted from technical difficulties that occured when my mom and I saw Batman Begins on Thursday.
