The St. Louis-Overland Park Road
Aug. 10th, 2005 08:36 pmToday I saw the St. Louis Arch, after finally getting some sleep. And by "saw" I mean "went up on a hideously cramped tram that's meant for people that are four and a half feet tall". The view from the Arch was pretty good, though. Pictures will be posted when the roll of film in question get developed and I get near a scanner.
After leaving St. Louis, there was a few hours of really boring driving through Missouri, involving miles and miles of cornfields. Most states this side of the Rocky Mountains are really boring to drive through. We got into the house of my relatives, which is in a Kansas City suburb, around 6 PM.
Things then proceeded to get awesome. We (being my cousins and a couple of their friends) played a bit of SoulCalibur and then watched the beginning (through the attack on the Panama Canal) of Team America: World Police. We then went around to what I suppose you'd call the mall and hung out. Although it wasn't a mall in the Pennsylvania sense, it was more an area of outside stores similar to the Frazer shopping center (but a lot bigger). Proving that there are cool people in both Johnson County KS and Chester County PA.
So that's what I've been doing today. Hope everything is good elsewhere in reality. And since these are boring states to drive through, feel free to call my cell at pretty much any time.
