Driving Home from Mt. St. Helena
Jun. 11th, 2015 11:55 pmSo I'm on I-80 south a bit past the Carquinez Strait (second lane from the left, four-lane freeway, trying to pass a truck) and somebody in a light-colored sedan speeds past me on the left, cuts over super close in front of the car in front of me to avoid hitting the car in front of *them*, and keeps speeding off into the (fairly empty) right lane.
My immediate mental reaction was "oh hey it's some asshole, hope he gets caught". Which is quickly followed by two cops, lights flashing and sirens blaring, speeding out of nowhere on my left in hot pursuit. And a third one came along slightly later. So yeah. That was fun.
(I also saw a K-9 unit, although the lights weren't on. Still going faster than anybody else though. For context, I'm pretty sure this is a 55 zone, although the prevailing speed was 65ish.)
